Da Vinci Days

We always try to attend our famous Da Vinci Days Festival every year in July.
Cole is ready for the kinetic sculpture parade!

This was our favorite new kinetic sculpture this year...Athletes Foot!

Our friends enjoying the water entrance for the kinetic sculpture race.

There goes the foot down the Willamette River!!

Happy Dylan!

Astoria

After camping at Mount St. Helens, before heading home we headed over to Astoria for a visit and to meet up with friends for another camping trip to Fort Stevens.

We checked out the Maritime Museum at the mouth of the Columbia River.

This was our hotel room and a big cargo ship going by on the river!  Not a bad view!!

This was the only picture we took during the camping portion of this trip!

Camping at Mount St. Helens

We headed north to go camping with the whole "Fiegener" clan.  All of Rob's siblings and families and his parents met at Mount St. Helens for a few fun filled days of camping!

Here we are at the top most visitor center with a great view!

Happy guys!

Silly dad!

Here are all the cousins...Cole turned grumpy and wouldn't look at the cameras!

In this picture all the cousins are 'supposed' to be looking at the mountain for a posed picture...and NOW Cole looks at the camera!  Typical!!

All the cousins!

Rob, sibs and parents.

Sis-in-laws made it in the picture here!

Aunt Permille and Adam for their close up!!

Cousins Markus and Cole.

Giving good bye hugs to everyone...

Even Aunt Julie got a hug!

Fun family time!!

summer fun

A few highlights over the first part of the summer...

Fun baseball games with our friends!  And in box seats with a bottomless buffet of traditional baseball park food!  The boys ate dinner before we got there AND managed to eat an additional 3 hot dogs, bags of popcorn and peanuts!

Our lovely neighbors children and Cole picked flowers for their mom...Cole is hiding the flowers for the big reveal.

It made Leonne's day!

The boys are enjoying a picnic lunch outside on the deck sharing a little reading material.

Yes they are reading an encyclopedia of the Ancient World!!

The kids (including neighbor kids) just finished playing in the sprinklers and set up the chairs like this to enjoy their popsicles.   Summer fun with best buds!!

Last Day of School

It appears we took the summer off from blogging...but we are back with updates!!

The last day of school at Corvallis Montessori was a big step for the boys.  To make it extra special they made some hand made gifts for their teachers...

Cole decorated these boxes for his teacher and aide.

Plus we made cookies to put inside!

Dylan had been enjoying painting birds from our Audubon calendar...

so we framed some for his teacher and aide.

The boys are all the way on the right and are standing up there with other children who have been at the school for 4 years.
