Funny Boys & Butterflies

Dylan & Mama having a good ol' time on the couch together.

Cole just came in from playing outside. He wore his new sunglasses the whole time he was outside...not that he needed them today since it snowed, rained and hailed. He also found this great stick to poke at things in the yard. What more could a boy need?

Grandma & Grandpa Fiegener picked up these great chairs for the guys. Their most favorite thing to do now is to hang out in their chairs reading books...between periods of being so excited about having chairs just their size that their bodies take over and they 'have to' stand up and jump on the chairs. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!

Here is Dylan reading is current favorite book about Nicholas the bunny. He is also reading his most favorite page in the book which is about Nicholas chasing the butterflies and the butterflies chasing him. Dylan is showing how he says butterfly.

Happy Egg Day!

The guys had fun finding these plastic eggs filled with their favorite sweet potato puff snacks. Here Dylan is so excited to get to his treat he shoves the whole egg in his mouth!

Cole is taking his job of putting all the eggs from one basket to the other very seriously.

During our visit to CA last weekend we were blessed to be visited by the boys Great Great Uncle Bill Getz and Aunt Vicky Getz. Thank you both for making the drive to visit all of us. It was so great to see you again!!

Grammy Carol found these fun jackets at a yard sale...and the boys LOVE them. They keep pulling them off the coat rack and demand to we put them on. They look like cute little elves!

Sunny CA

This past weekend we all took a trip down to California to visit Grammy Carol and Grandpa Charlie and to attend the wedding of our friends Roger and Tina. We lucked out and were visited by several friends and family while in Tiburon...I think the main attraction were the boys.

Our friends Amanda, Adam and Eliza came over for a visit and dinner. Eliza and the boys had a fabulous time feeding each other carrots, swapping booster seats, and reading books together. We also think Eliza is so cute and can't wait to see her again!!

The guys got along swell with their Uncle David!

Thanks for all the great hugs Grammy Carol! We miss you!

Grammy Carol got the boys a new book all about shapes. Mama and Dylan sat down to read it for the first time...and as we opened the book, to our (my) surprise Dylan exclaimed "Circle!" (and yes it really was a circle!)

Mama found Cole a styley new hat (with a truck on it which is Cole's FAVORITE word) and some rockin' sun glasses. Being a native Oregonian Cole is super sun sensitive and can not stand to have the sun in his eye even for a second. We'll see if he actually wears the sun glasses for more than a minute!

The guys are so very excited because Grammy and Grandpa let them play with and rip up the newspaper. There is almost nothing better!

On a walk with his Auntie Lesley, Cole had so much fun pointing out everything interesting like dogs, trucks, and birds.

The Murray/Largman/Fiegener family.
Thanks for a great visit and allowing Mommy and Daddy to have a night out on the town!

Snack Time Fun

Recently the boys have come up with a new game to play with their snack cups...they will take handfuls of crackers or whatever we put in the snack cups and dump them on the ground and try to pick them up without using their hands...

...here they are getting down on their tummies to get ready for the game...

...Dylan is poised for the big pick up...

...and he does it! Successfully picked up his cracker without using his hands!

Sunny Day

It can be sunny in Oregon during the winter...

One of the boys' favorite things to do these days is to go for a walk around the neighborhood. It is especially fun when it is sunny and the birds are out and other neighbors are walking their dogs.

Cole can't wait for me to close the front door and start walking!

After our walk around the neighborhood we took things a bit farther and got in the car to drive to downtown Corvallis for a walk along the riverfront park. On our walk back to the car Dylan decided he wanted to ride in the stroller while Cole pushed. Dylan is showing us all which way to walk.

We are all happy to be out enjoying such a nice day!
