Summer is finally here!?

It has finally started to warm up this week...I think it might have gotten up to 75 degrees once!

So we started to pull out our summer clothes...the boys were so excited to get some different clothes to wear. They look so big to Mom!

We headed out for Pride Day in Central Park this weekend and got to hear some fun bands play.
The family.
The boys said "don't we look cute holding hands? Take our picture!" Hmmmm. Mom and Dad must say that too much!

Tomorrow the boys start their summer program at their school...for the summer program they stay until after lunch. So Mom found some plain silver lunch boxes and painted them with owls for her big boys. They are so excited to eat lunch at school and bring their lunch boxes that Cole started to pack his lunch for school on Monday...on Sunday morning!

School's out

We have had a very full week with the last day of school, a Corvallis Knights baseball game, Daddy's first ultimate Frisbee game of the season, a birthday party, Father's Day, and a beach outing. We are still experiencing a very wet, gray and cool spring...wait isn't already officially summer?! Well a few days ago I was still wearing my winter sweaters! It is very gradually getting warmer...today we were in tee-shirts!

Despite the cool weather the strawberries are growing...we made strawberry jam and scones for the boys teachers last day of school. Here are the boys covered in jam and high on sugar!! They thought that the small jam jars were their own person serving containers and Cole was ready to sit down with a spoon and eat his!
We are still pulling out our winter indoor activities...
(Cole)
...and boy do they love to paint!
(Dylan)
They were very excited about the white paint...I guess I never pulled that color out before!?

Monday afternoon, last minute, we decided to jump in the car and head to the coast.

We were hoping to get to see the sun (usually if it is cloudy in Corvallis it is worse on the coast)...
...and it was a BEAUTIFUL day! We totally lucked out. I didn't even pack shorts for anyone I was so doubtful that it would be nice...so the boys ended up in their underwear!

Dylan kept bringing me rocks...from left to right, we have the Daddy rock, the Mommy rock, the baby rock between the Mommy and Daddy rock, the brother rock, and the Uncle David rock. Who knew you could have an Uncle David rock!?
For Fathers Day we gave Rob this tee-shirt that we had specially made...The boys told mom what it should say and mom designed what it would look like.
I think he liked it!
Fashion note...in Cole's eye the dog costume (with the red bow) over the black and red long sleeve shirt with orange shorts, red socks and blue and yellow shoes is very 'cool'.

Par-tay!

We had some friends over today for a burrito and mojito afternoon party. We had to celebrate the good weather! We have had 2 days of sun in a row!!

We had a fun activity for the kids...shaving cream painting. I don't know if I have ever see 9 kids working so intently and quietly together!
Dylan looks so tall!!
Cole and their friend Lina closed the show by squirting each other with the hoses.
They both were screaming with joy and didn't have a dry inch on their bodies!

Sun! Finally.

Today was the first real sunny and warm day we have had this spring! The boys were so excited about the sun and warmth they kept taking their clothes off all day!
Dylan is enjoying his carrots with dinner.

Fun with a bit of sun

We kept ourselves busy this weekend even with the hourly rain-showers...

We tried out our bowling skills.

Went to a "bug" birthday party at a nature center.
The boys are playing in the toys at the nature center. And yes, those are 'play' oreos that they are trying to open...even though they have never had them they want to get to the cream filling!
We went to a free concert at OSU and brought a picnic dinner...we are lucky it didn't rain on us...too much!

Silly boys!
Boys...
...chugging raisins!

It's June...right?!

So it is June right?? Well you wouldn't notice it was here in Oregon! I think it has rained every day for the last month.

Yesterday the boys went out to play in the rain with their rain pants, puffy winter coats and umbrellas.
They still managed to dig in the dirt even though it was pouring! That's my boys!
