Goats and a Bath

A few days after getting back from Las Vegas the boys and Mama came down with a nasty cold/flu that we probably picked up on the plane. Daddy had to stay home from work for most of the week to take care of us all. About 10 days later we are all feeling better...except for this persistent cough that Mama can't shake. And the miracle is that Daddy still hasn't come down with it!

Today we got to feed and visit with several goats and chickens at our friends home. The boys loved watching the goats eat and mustered up enough bravery to feed the goats...or at least to hold out the celery to show the goats.

Dylan was very intrigued by the animals and was eager to get close and feed them...but Cole was a bit more cautious and would get nervous when they got too close... or if Dylan got too close (to the animals that is).
After feeding the goats and chickens the boys had fun jumping on and rolling around on a huge trampoline! Thanks for inviting us over Nicole, Matthew and Jonah...we'll be back tomorrow!

After a fun day with the animals it was time to sit back and take a tub!

Visit to Vegas

This past weekend we went to Las Vegas to visit the boys' great grandparents. We also met my mom there to make the visit a bit easier for us. Thanks Nana!!

Four generations of Getz family...Great Grandma Katherine, Nana Suzanna, Mama, and the boys.

The boys liked visiting with their Great Grandpa Virgil too! We all got to stay in a great apartment in the assisted living community where they live. The boys were a big attraction at meal time in the dining hall...lucky for us they were quite well behaved and didn't do their usual throwing of food and seeing how loud they can scream routine (I don't know why but being in their highchairs often evokes a screaming contest between the boys...they go back and forth to see who can scream the loudest and highest pitched, then they laugh and laugh and do it all over again).
Our big outings for the weekend didn't involve the strip or gambling in any way. Our pace these days is walking to the closest playground for a romp. Lucky for us there was one just about a block away!

Cole is showing his Nana how he can brush his teeth with two brushes at the same time!

They sure do have a lot to say these days. No opinion is left unsaid.

Nana is helping out with the bath and bed time routines.

Dylan caught the Elvis bug in Las Vegas and is dutifully practicing his hip gyrations.

Happy guy!

Future Rock Stars

The boys' Auntie Julie recently sent them some cute shirts...one that says 'Future Rock Star' and another that says 'Heartbreaker'. As soon as Dylan saw the 'Future Rock Star' shirt he grabbed it and started doing the moonwalk. No joke! Dylan has been practicing walking backwards lately and he literally grabbed the shirt and walked backwards out of the room! Needless to say he got to be the first one to wear that shirt!
Thanks Auntie Julie!!

Our rock star!

I asked Dylan what was on his shirt and he lifted up the shirt to show me his belly!

We had our playgroup over for the afternoon and the boys spent most of the time playing in one of their friends car seat. Cole took advantage of the time and sat back and relaxed in the cozy seat...he did keep demanding that I hand him pieces of banana bread so he wouldn't have to get up and risk losing his seat to Dylan!
